XBOX 360 Elite

Microsoft has released the XBOX 360 Elite, which comes with a 120 GB hard drive, HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) port, HDMI cable, and wireless remote - all in black (even the system). It lists for $479 and considering the Pro version of the system with the 20 GB hard drive, no remote and no HDMI output lists for $399, this seems well worth it. The 120 GB hard drive, if you were to purchase it separately, would run you an extra $180. So, to compare once more:

Pro System: $399
120 GB HD: $180
Wireless Remote: $20
TOTAL: $599

Elite System: $479

MySpace and Facebook - Job Killers?

CNet has an interesting article on employers using social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook, as well as "uncouth blogs" to weed out potential employees. You've heard it all before - "Whatever you put on the internet could be found by anyone," but if that doesn't scare you - this will:

"According to the research, one in five employers finds information about candidates on the Internet, and 59 percent of those said it influences recruitment decisions.

A fourth of human resources decision makers said they had rejected candidates based on personal information found online. Most people, however, remain unaware of the effect their Net reputation can have on their job prospects."

That quote came from the story - click this LINK to read the whole thing.
