Job Hunters Be Warned!

Just a word of advice for those of you who will be/are hunting for jobs either now or in the future: take down any and all pictures, quotes, applications, comments, and information from the social networking sites you belong to that may link to you any and all of the following activities:

- Heavy drinking
- Streaking
- Promiscuity
- Stealing
- Plagiarizing
- Throwing up gang signs in pictures
- Dressing provocatively (like those sexy pictures of you as a Playboy Bunny at Halloween).
- Anything else that common sense might tell you is bad for your potential employer to see.

More and more companies are checking Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc... to see what their candidates are up to on a regular basis. If there are no pictures of you on Facebook where you aren't holding a red plastic cup/beer bottle, you (a) might have a problem and (b) should take them down.

I don't mean to get preachy, but every day I read stories about employers not hiring students because of what they post on their profiles. All I'm saying is be careful.
