Education Fail...featuring Linux!

An Austin, TX school teacher caught one of her students demonstrating something "inappropriate" on his laptop to the other members of the class.  I know what you're thinking, but no nudity was involved.  No, this was much worse; it was (shines flashlight under chin)...OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE!  The boy with the laptop was handing out Linux Live discs to his classmates in an effort to get them to steer clear of Microsoft Windows.  No harm, no foul, right?  Wrong.

Apparently the teacher didn't believe any software was free and that both the boy and the company, HeliOS, which promotes and publishes the software, were doing something illegal.  An angry and ignorant email from the teacher made its way to HeliOS, followed by a reply from Ken Starks.  Both the original email and the reply can be found at the Blog of helios.
